Reflection Question: Though telling the truth would have brought them no harm, Ananias and Sapphira both lied and paid a horrible price.  Are there untruths you have held in your heart?  Today would be a good day to share them with the Lord.

March 29 - Acts 4

Reflection Question: In this passage, the members of the Council were amazed at the authority by which Peter and John, ordinary men, spoke to them about spiritual things.  In fact, the believers prayed to have the courage to continue to share the Gospel. What would it mean for you to have more courage?

Reflection Question: Peter reminded the people listening that all the families of the world were to be blessed by the descendants of Abraham.  Does your life bring a blessing to others?  How?

March 27 - Acts 2

Reflection Question: In Peter’s sermon, he repeated the words of King David: ‘You have shown me the way of life, and You will fill me with the joy of Your presence.’  In what tangible ways has God filled you with joy?

March 26 - John 21 and Acts 1

Reflection Question: Peter was the rock on which Jesus would build his Church.  Why is it important that God can trust us to be faithful?  How do you try to live out your faithfulness to God? In what particular area could you do better?

March 25 - John 20

Reflection Question: Jesus had ridden into Jerusalem in triumph, but now the disciples huddled behind locked doors.  Jesus suddenly stood among the disciples.  How was that possible?  What would your reaction have been?

March 24 - John 19

Reflection Question: Nicodemus no longer hid in darkness, but openly admitted by his actions that he believed Jesus was the Messiah.  What are you willing to do and say now that would have made you uncomfortable, prior to growing in your faith?

March 23 - John 18

Read: John chapter 18 (CEB, NIV, NRSV)

Reflection Question: Jesus was betrayed by one of his close circle of friends.  Think of a time when someone you considered to be a friend let you down.  Have you forgiven them?  Pray for that person today.

March 22 - John 17

Reflection Question: Jesus prayed, ‘My prayer is not for the world, but for those You have given me; because they belong to you.’  How does belonging to Jesus impact your life? Do others see that you belong to him?

March 21 - John 16

Reflection Question: The Master told the disciples that they would soon be scattered and would experience testing and sorrow.  When you consider your own journey as a disciple, how does the fact that Jesus has overcome the world that tests give you strength?  In what way?

March 20 - John 15

Reflection Question: Jesus calls himself the true grapevine and states that he prunes the branches that bear fruit so that they bear more fruit.  Where have you felt that pruning in your life?

March 19 - John 14

Read: John chapter 14 (CEB, NIV, NRSV)

Reflection Question: Jesus tells the disciples that anyone who believes in him will do the same works he has done.  (V 12) Prayerfully consider those words.  Could Jesus be asking you to do something you have never considered?  Where could you bring his light?

March 18 - John 13

Reflection Question: Jesus would soon be betrayed and most of his disciples were about to run and hide in fear, deserting Him.  Yet, we read that he loved his disciples.  When has there been a time that you received God’s forgiveness in spite of your betrayal?

March 17 - John 12

Reflection Question: Judas had been with Jesus.  He had heard Jesus’ teachings.  He had witnessed Jesus’ miracles.  Yet, he was influenced by the devil and betrayed Jesus.  When have you had doubts in your faith?

Reflection Question: Jesus’ friends Lazarus, Mary, and Martha and their story were a display of God’s glory.  Think of a close spiritual friend.  How have you together brought glory to God?

March 15 - John 10

Reflection Question: Jesus said, “The Father and I are one.” (V 30). How do you reconcile this statement with what you understand of God and Jesus?

March 14 - John 9

Reflection Question: In this chapter, people have difficulty believing the healed blind beggar has changed and, yet, the proof is right before them. When others look at you, is it plain that God has touched your life? What would you say has changed about you?

March 13 - John 8

Reflection Question: Jesus said, ‘You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.  And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (V 31-32).  What do you do to make sure you remain faithful to Jesus?

March 12 - John 7

Reflection Question: The church leaders of Jesus’ time did not understand who he was.  How did you come to know that Jesus was truly from God?

March 11 - John 6

Read: John chapter 6 (CEB, NIV, NRSV)

Reflection Question: Jesus came to the frightened disciples in the middle of an impossible situation. Think of a storm in your life.  What difference did the presence of Jesus make? Does he continue to make a difference?
